GF Blog Roll

I've decided to add a Gluten-Free Blogroll. The recipes, flour combinations, hints, and ideas that I'm learning have helped me with specific food allergies and with trying to re-conform to the Blood Type Diet. They just also happen to help others, I care about, too.

Gluten-Free Mommy - Natalie does not know if she has celiac's or just food allergies. She just knows that she is free from hives when she stays away from gluten. She's a wonderful cook and I'm over impressed with her flour combinations. I can't wait to try them, myself. Don't forget to check out her sweet and sour meatloaf.

Gluten Free Gobsmacked - Kate was "gobsmacked" when she was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue, after years of health-related problems. The photo header, on her blog, makes me want to learn how to bake with alternative grain flours more. Her flour blend inspires me. These croissants make me feel that I can do this.

Recipes from a gluten-free Goddess - I'm new to Karina's Kitchen. I'm ready to dig in, though, and learn more about her purple plastic spoon. I feel blessed to have read her Cooking and Baking tips.

Gluten-Free Girl - Shauna's book was brought to life, and my attention, by one of the other GF bloggers that I've recently lurked. I can't wait to read it. From GF Gravy, to Butterscotch Creme Brulee, I'm looking forward to this "glorious dance of food."

Book of Yum - Seamaiden's GF Okinomiyaki sold me on this bloggers recipes. Yum is one of my favorite words and qualifies a recipe, in my book, too.

Easy Gluten-Free Baking - Elizabeth has my attention with yummy looking pancakes and sandwich bread. The first few pages of this blog, bring coffee cake to the table. I feel so inspired by her substitution for cornstarch, too.

Ginger Lemon Girl - I was introduced to Carrie, when Elizabeth posted a variation recipe of her sandwich bread. I'm impressed with her master baking mix, used similarly like commercial bisquick. I secretly love that she has used oat flour. I have an oat fascination, from my Cali-Girl days. I heart oats. Carries is a Carolina Girl, (in the North) too! *smile*

Recipes for a Gluten-free Life - I was introduced to Mrs. GF in the first post I read at Ginger Lemon Girl. I'm so excited to see a recipe for pecan pie without corn syrup. And the oat crust.. my heart is happy!

Delightfully Gluten Free - Cassandra is (appears to be?) an LDS mom in Texas. I love her hints and tips to the new gluten-free lifestyler. All of her recipes are wonderfully indexed, too. I found Cassandra's blogspot blog in a recipe comment about crescent rolls, in Kate's blog. I was sold on pizza and cinnamon rolls. Yum-O~

Hey That Tastes Good - I'm so thrilled that Jill puts her GF flour mix right on the front of her blog. I'm having a hard time understanding some of the abbreviated flour mix suggestions that I'm finding on other blogs. I'm too new to understand, I think. I'm also encouraged by her "try again," approach, too.

Thanks for mentioning me on here. ;)
That pie was so good, I went crazy over it, it was my best holiday dessert I have made yet.

Good luck with your diet, and have a great day!

Huh. I guess I didn't leave a comment here when I first saw this post.

Yes, I am an LDS mom in Texas - who needs a minivan pretty soon.

Wow! Thanks so much for your mention of my blog! I really appreciate that! I'm so glad you have enjoyed it! I'm glad you linked back to my site so I could find your blog! I can't wait to "look around" and get to know another Carolina girl better!! ;-)

hey, thanks for the mention! I know I was soooo discouraged when I first went gluten-free, even though I had a lot of support, and getting back into baking was so hard! But with a little patience (who knew I had it) I think anyone can do it.

Thanks, so much, for the new comments.

I'm really slacking in my personal diet and health choices. I think I'm in perpetual study phase. I get so frustrated with my limited local availability..

and by the time I gather things, I'm too tired to remember what to do first.

In my misery, each day, I reconfirm my desire to fix this and feel better..

I keep falsely telling myself that because I'm not of any official diagnosis, that I can keep putting this off. But I'm so much better when I'm making better choices.

Thanks for stopping by. I originally started this blog roll for a friend of mine, who has a daughter, that desperately needed more intervention, in her diet, than I do. As I researched, for her, I learned a lot about myself, in the process. I'll figure this out, eventually.
