Amy's Notebook
I would not call myself a mommy blogger. It would have been wonderful, when my children were younger, to have blogged. It would have made my life so much easier.
I am a mommy. I have a section, in my reader, for mommy blogs. I often feel very old, reading those blogs, because it seems like it was my past life, in so many respects.
One thing that I really enjoy, however, is Amy's Notebook Posts from MomAdvice.com. We read similar blogs. Since my almost divorce, from Google Reader, I have missed a lot of really good posts. I feel better, knowing that Amy's Notebook will help me catch some of the posts that I've missed.
Going through those highlighted posts, I'm reminded of the more fun part of my life that is passing me by.
Fun, to me, is probably not your idea of fun, though.
Finding a pattern to make oil cloth lunch bags is fun, to me. I don't even need lunch bags, anymore. But I still want to make one. I want to make some of these, too. I can't help these desires. I also want to make one of these, out of vintage remnants, lace and buttons. So its not all about being practical.
Ree, The Pioneer Woman, never ceases to amaze me. I love the new look of the site, and the flower pot desserts are delightful! I wish I had so much energy.
Have I blogged one of my latest mini obsessions? I have a thing for vintage aprons. I don't know why. But this blog is feeding my need. I love my vintage apron, re-purposed as a grocery bag, that I bought on Etsy, a few months ago. I'm currently waiting for another apron to arrive.. its not vintage.. but its apples.. and I can't wait. Do you think this will make me want to cook more? I can hope, eh?
Emily Loria says that a pretty apron will make your kids behave and your housework fun! She likes to spell with flickr, like I do, too. Yay.
Jane's Apron is feeding my need for pink, too. I'm so into vintage suitcases for storage of craft supplies. Did you know that? My family hates them.
Photojojo has great tips for better picture taking for marketing products. I'm learning to see things differently as I learn to use my new camera.
Strawberry Pie only makes me want to go check out Ambrose Farm that much more. I need a partner, in crime, to make jam with, again! I gained 10 pounds reading this recipe for pecan pie.
What is better than snickerdoodles or french toast? Eating them together! I could live in this type of sin. Yum-O!
Notes from a Cottage Industry just hit my blog roll. I'm so in love.
Pillow cases are my favorite find at the thrift store. I can see this lunch box for many different types of uses. I was born in the wrong era. Can Grandma's sheets, that I slept on, so often, really be considered vintage today? Scary.
I will leave you, now, with this fun project with scrabble tiles. Now I'm off to see if I can find some vintage scrabble tiles to buy, on the internet. Because I just must.
Amy's Notebook really saves me a lot of time.. and notes all the good stuff I miss. Thanks Amy.

I'm a big fan of Amy's Notebook, too! It must take her a lot of time to surf all those blogs.
