Checking in On My Seminary Hour (and a half)
I've decided to give some time to a post dedicated to my Seminary Hour (and a Half.)
Every Latter-day Saint parent, outside of Utah, knows the agony of Early morning Seminary. What better thing is there for a home schooling family, to have a 6am class, in a different city? :)
I'm behind in blog-land because of many reasons, but the major one is that school has started and Seminary is back in session.
Anyone, who knows me, knows that I don't function real well on Daylight Savings Time. I hate time change. I simply hate it. I do much better on Pacific Standard Time. If you gave me PST, in today's Eastern Time world, I'd be able to claim my short sleep life, more "normal."
Maybe that's the Cali Girl still alive in me?
When you add "wake at 5am" to a night owl's schedule, the result is sleep chaos.
Last night, I slept from about midnight to 3am, or so. I think. You see, this is the second week of seminary, and I know nothing, anymore. Some nights have been a complete wash. I've caught up on some of that sleep debt, but in general, I don't think I'll ever really catch up, again.
I have two children in seminary, again, this year. Another child starting, just starts the whole four-year nightmare cycle thoughts into full gear. But I don't have them, this year. I'm enjoying my mornings. I'm getting many things accomplished in my sleepless stupor. I'm establishing a better routine.
Now to figure out how to add sleep to it..
