More than the Agony of Defeat

USA Team - Uneven BarsImage by Angela Radulescu via Flickr Pure Agony is what we all felt watching Lolo Jones go down at the end of the 100 meter hurdle.

I am starting to really like the cut and dry "win" that comes with the events that do not have subjective judging.

I'm astonished to watch anyone score high after falling down, in gymnastics. It doesn't matter to me who you are.

I really like Shawn Johnson, but I thought that Nastia's routine looked a little more graceful. I don't feel Nastia was as robbed, on the Beam, as she was the other night, though.

As tall as Nastia Liukin looked, I think I read that she is only 5 foot 3 inches tall.

The Olympics are not helping my serious sleep debt. But I just can't help but watch. I giggled, the other night, when the midnight commentary mentioned that the Olympics 3am replay would be brought to us by Ambien. *sigh*

I've never seen the men's routine, Horizontal Bars, before. I was amazed when they fell onto their arms. That really looked painful.

It was nice to not have to hear about Michael Phelps diet, again today. I'd like to share a day with him, just for the sheer amazement I'd feel. I'm thrilled that he eats real food!

What is your favorite Event?

And what exactly is trampolining Discipline? I think I missed that??

Why hasn't Zemanta offered me the Olympic circles, as a graphic, yet? *giggle* I may have to go find it all by myself. I'm such a blog snob, sometimes.

Hola Hermana,
Hey. It has been a long time. I don't even watch gymnastics of figure skating. Yes, it requires a ton of talent, skill, blah blah blah judging. Give me a race in the water or on land doesn't matter! Well, I'm lifting my own blogging restriction. c-ya around more often now!
